Hello, I’m Chantal, the owner of Johnnies Cottage, which I’ve owned for just over a year.
It’s been my dream for almost a decade to have my own bolt hole in the Dales and I’m thrilled to not only own Johnnies, but also to share it with others too.
Whilst johnnies is available for holiday lets, I look to fill the cottage with friends and family whenever possible. Striving for full occupancy means the local businesses thrive whilst guests enjoy the stunning Yorkshire Dales. I thrive on the happiness of my guests, ensuring they have everything they need whilst enjoying home comforts. My housekeeper is fantastic and I can assure you that the cottage is always spotlessly clean and kept to a very high standard.
I’ve personally been holidaying in the Dales with friends, during the last 6 years. Every visit leaves me speechless due to endless scenic walks and drives that I’ve discovered. The dales has always been close to my heart and nothing makes me happier than sharing it with others.
Day to day - I’m an Insurance software professional from Suffolk, commuting to London, whilst enjoying the Yorkshire Dales when I can. I spend time in Madrid whenever possible, as my daughter lives there with her partner. My eldest son currently lives with me along with our gorgeous little dog called Lola.
I love spending time with my dad and we have enjoyed many adventures together walking the Camino’s across Spain, Portugal and France, along with touring around Scotland, Kashmir and Italy.
Travel, friends and family - are what keeps me sane. Not to mention the impromptu bolts to the Yorkshire Dales, when opportunities arise. My aim is always to find new walks, pubs, drives; to publish on my Instagram page - ensuring my guests have as many recommendations as possible, catering for all their needs.
