Do you allow pets at Johnnies Cottage?

Unfortunately pets are not allowed to join you for your stay at Johnnies Cottage. Johnnies Cottage hosts guests who have medical needs/ongoing treatment and require a guarantee that the cottage is free from animal hair. Additionally, whilst there is a small area of outdoor space assigned to the cottage it is not secured. Therefore it cannot facilitate their toileting needs.

Where can I park my car during my stay?

Johnnies Cottage has convenient and free on street parking either at the front or the side of the property, although if these are not available there are plenty of spots around the green that offer quick and easy access.

Do you have a cot available?

Unfortunately Johnnies Cottage caters to adults only and is not suitable for children or infants, so we are not able to provide a cot and would kindly ask that this is respected and that you do not bring your own travel cot for undeclared additional travellers.

Am I able to smoke in the property?

For the comfort of other guests and for the safety of the property, Johnnies Cottage is non-smoking. This includes e-cigarettes and vapes. We kindly ask that if you are smoking outside of the property that you do not do so in front of the cottage or surrounding homes.

Can I invite additional guests?

Johnnies Cottage really is a bolthole for two, and is designed to be comfortable for one to two adult guests. The property is not designed for large groups or gatherings and parties and events are strictly prohibited. 

What is the cancellation policy for my booking?

All bookings for Johnnies Cottage are managed through Airbnb. You can view the cancellation policy once you have selected your dates. If you have already booked, please check your correspondence from Airbnb to confirm your cancelation terms, or pop the host a message if you need any more information.

There are many public footpaths that pass through Bainbridge and we provide plenty of maps in the cottage to help you navigate. You can use the postcode DL8 3EF on the OS website for more information.

Is there a shop nearby for stocking up on groceries?

Johnnies Cottage is opposite the local cafe which stocks a few essentials, however if you're staying for a while and want to head to a supermarket there is a Spa 10 minutes away in Hawes, a Co-op a 25 minute drive away in Leyburn, or a Tesco and an Aldi about 35 minutes drive away in Catterick Garrison.

Is there any local transport available?

Bainbridge is home to a stop on 'The Little White Bus', you can find the timetable and route information by visiting www.dalesbus.org
